Challenge

The potential risk of liquid containments polluting downstream gas pipelines is severe. Enexis asked us to eliminate the risk of small particles entering the system.

Solution

Based on the requirements provided, SDS Separation advised on and installed the compact and efficient RotaSep®, which proved comparable in size to the original gas pipeline and was easy to install on-site.

Result

RotaSep® has been running non-stop for more than 6 years without issue, separating any containments as small as 1 µm from the gas stream, hence increasing the delivered product quality and protecting the local gas network from damage, maintenance, or downtime.

Fengxi ABC

Challenge

Due to an inefficient separation in the process, containment liquid was overflowing the downstream desulfurization active carbon absorbers, thereby reducing the lifetime of the active carbon by half. Fengxi Group invited us to improve the process.

Solution

We replaced the existing separator at the outlet of the bi-carbonization towers with a 3 times smaller natural drive RotaSep® to capture any containments.

Result

The highly efficient RotaSep® captures all liquid containments exiting the bi-carbonization towers, which doubles the lifetime of the active carbon and significantly lowers OPEX.

Challenge

Sensitive equipment protection - RotaSep® – Upstream natural gas
Submicron water droplets containing sand grains caused an additional 10 days of maintenance downtime on an offshore gas production platform annually. Extremely limited installation space.

Solution

RotaSep® offers a high-performance fine droplets separation solution within the dimensional requirements. It removes up to 800 grams of sand per hour from the gas flow.

Result

RotaSep® results in less maintenance and more up time of the compressor.
