SDS Separation offers a highly versatile and flexible solution for the CO2 transition, with a full-service solution for the complete chain of Carbon Capture, liquefaction, transportation to usage or storage locations.

1. CO2 Capture to preserve the environment

  • Our RotaScrub® and RotaStrip® combination form a compact Carbon Capture unit.
  • This solution provides a significant reduction in height and weight:
    • Just 2 to 5 meters high (vs. 35 to 40 meters for conventional)
    • Up to 70% lower weight
  • It provides superior scrubbing efficiency compared to traditional huge amine scrubbing towers:
    • Reduction of Amine flow by 30%
    • Enables using higher viscosity Amines, allowing higher CO2 loading at lower price
  • This results in superior ecomomics:
    • 20 to 25% lower CAPEX
    • 20 to 30% lower OPEX
  • Its small footprint enables creating a mobile unit that can be easily moved between different Point Sources.

2. CO2 Usage or Storage

  • The CO2 can be:
    • Reused on site
    • Transported to a usage (CCU) or storage destination (CCS)
  • The captured CO2 can be purified to specs required for onwards usage (food grade, industrial grade).
  • If a CO2 pipeline exists nearby, CO2 can be transported in gaseous form.
  • Alternatively, CO2 will be liquefied on site and kept in storage vessels.
  • Onward transportation can be done via regular truck hauls or by barge ship.
  • We have partnerships with CO2 transporters and off-takers to ensure end-to-end service.

Carbon Capture capacities and dimensions

We offer a compact Carbon Capture unit by combining our RotaScrub® and RotaStrip®. This pre-fab, plug-and play solution on a skid is attached to chimneys that emit CO2 containing gasses.
